First off, shoutout to my homie @Sincere for puttin’ me onto this dude. What makes Lecrae unique? He’s a christian rapper. Usually christian [religion] and Hip-Hop would never be mentioned in the same sentence but throughout the years people have tried to make it one. However, many christian hip-hop artists fail to relate to the non-church goers or die hard hip-hop audience.
In contrast, Lecrae in my opinion have created a formula [content wise] that will sit well with music heads. Although he talks about God and professes his faith, his flow, cadences, and word play fits the mold of a underground artist as well have potential to go mainstream [that'll be tough to do].
